Hey, welcome to the site! This should be the first thread you read when joining here. I hope your stay is pleasant and enjoyable!
With that out of the way, make sure you read through all these rules and remember them. Ignorance isn't an excuse!

General Rules

1.) Respect everybody.
2.) Stay within a PG13 rating. This means you should stick around content that you could see in a Batman or Harry Potter movie.
3.) Don't spam, troll, or flame.
4.) One person per registered account. Do not share your account with a friend or sibling.
5.) Don't use trigger topics.*

Posting twice in a row in the same thread counts as spam, and you will be warned. Making a post that is not on the topic of the thread it is posted in counts as spam. Posting in a thread that is older than six months is called 'Necroposting' and it is a form of spam. Please request and obtain permission from a mod before doing so.
Even though we are a Homestuck RP forum, we do not encourage blatant trolling or flaming. You must always treat every other member with respect. Please do not roleplay as a character, OC or canon, outside the On Topic section, unless that is the purpose of the thread. Posts that you roleplay in outside the On Topic section count as spam and will be treated as such.

Roleplay Rules

1.) At least two sentences per RP post.
2.) Don't use text speak in story. (It's okay in logs though)
3.) No godmodding. This basically means that you must not make your character overly powerful.
4.) Don't harm or force an action for any OC without the OC owner's permission.
5.) Don't copy somebody else's character.
6.) You must have an approved character to roleplay. Templates are located as loose threads here, and you submit them here. The approval process is for your own good, trust me- We don't want to change your character, we only want to help you get to know them.
7.) If you change your OC after posting, please post in the character's profile with what you changed.
8.) Only mods can post constructive criticism on an OC without the OC owner's permission.
9.) Stay within a PG13 rating. Stick around content that you could see in a Batman or Harry Potter movie.
10.) Be conscious of trigger topics.

Chatbox Rules

Moderator and Administrator Rules
1.) All rules apply to everybody regardless of rank.
2.) A moderator or administrator may not unjustly punish somebody.

Infringement of a rule is worth strikes, at the discretion of the moderator or administrator administering them. Three strikes means you're 'out'- Banned for at least a week and at most forever.

If you feel you have been unjustly punished, appeal to a moderator or administrator, but not the moderator or administrator who punished you. Also, if you have a problem with another user or have questions about a rule, please ask an administrator or moderator.

*Burgundy should never, ever be used without a trigger in the topic title.
Crimson should never be used without bolded triggers in the top of the post.
Orange should only ever be used in the RP proper, and only if previously tagged in the character profile.
Lighter orange can be used IC (In-Context) without triggers, but please be conscious of how graphic it is and who will be reading it.
None of these can be used without trigger warnings in OoC threads, and NONE can EVER be used in the chats.
