Physical appearance: Not very tall, especially for a troll of such age, but his blood caste gives him considerably immense strength. Landan has a swimmer frame, and even then he actually is very slender and wiry, you'll be hard pressed to find any fat on him. At all. (He's self-conscious about looking good, to the point where he monitors his weight. Not exactly anorexic, he keeps his weight at a point where he can function, have to keep up his strength and everything, after all, but it'll always be on the low end of the BMI, in the underweight.)

His skin is a medium shade of grey with a violet tint due to his blood, and has an almost scaly texture in some parts. Landan isn't overly muscular in appearance, but if he were to strip you'd see well won muscle on those bones, as typical of someone who swims constantly. He's lithe and has long, bony fingers with sharp black claws. His eyes are violet due to his age. High, piercing cheek bones and a pointed jaw line. Intense features, and cat like, slitted, almond shaped eyes. Small mouth, average ear fins and gills along the sides of his neck.

Short black hair that starts at the apex and comes forward, drooping to give him bangs, just barely dripping into his field of vision. In essence, an androgynous pixie cut. No hair dyes. Wears reading glasses (oval frames, silver in color) only when he reads. Has very sharp and pointed teeth, that really should probably be called fangs. Only a few dull ones, but even then just barely.

Horn wise, they're exactly like kudu horns but going back instead of up. Only reach a little beyond his head at this point, since he's still rather young, and will get longer as he grows up. (Probably just over a foot in length presently.) They're pointed and have a twist in them.

Jewelry includes six piercings on right earfin and four on the left, three sets of rings on left hand (pointer, middle, ring), two on the right (pointer, pinky) and a snake bite lip piercings. Wears anklets: two on left, four on right.  Two bracelets on each wrist, and one toe ring on left foot.

Male appearance: wears black, skin tight pants for easy maneuverability and a white shirt that has cuffs and a collar and v-neck ruffles. Wears a tight Victorian-esque, gothic coat on top of that, once again form-fitting, that has wide cuffs and a wide bottom that perks out. (Again, think gothic Victorian era.) It has button clasps that run diagonally up the coat, layering it and making it highly fashionable. Generally keeps his coat clasped so you only see the white of his shirt through the collars and the sleeves. Keeps the collar of his jacket generally popped up. Leather boots that lace up to mid-shin.

Female appearance: Black tights that stop at her ankles. A violet dress that has no sleeves and a collar and stops mid-though, small v-neck. Black belt around middle of dress. Black flats. Black undershirt (skin tight) that stops half-way past elbow, not exposed through v-neck of dress. Paints claws a deep purple.

Personality: Cold, calculating, and perhaps a little pessimistic, though she would consider herself a realist, and maybe by Alternia's standards she is. Elowen is extremely arrogant and like most highbloods places extreme faith into the caste system, believing herself better than all other castes and, in general, species too. She hardly gives anyone credit or respect unless they're fellow sea-dwellers or fuchsia blooded, and even then it can be grudgingly, but no matter what she'll do whatever a fuchsia blood asks -- she believes in the hemospectrum and fuchsia is above her, after all.

She always uses manners and if you ask her to do something, even if she considers you beneath her, she's likely to do it but be very condescending and cruel about it. She'll act like she's doing you a great favor by performing a task for you, and you should be grateful she's lowering herself to his extent to help you. She'll demean you and make you feel uncomfortable, which might have to do with the fact she's not very comfortable herself.

Elowen isn't happy. In fact, one of the reasons why she always seems angry or is so stern and serious probably has to do with the fact she's always angry at herself, not that she'd admit it. Elowen feels frustrated at herself for her gender identity: sometimes she'll be completely confident about her fluidity and at other times she can be completely depressed and insecure about it.

A seadweller being insecure? Ha! Or at least that's what she wants you to think. In reality she is questioning herself, second guessing, not feeling good enough compared to others. Her confidence is a roller coaster, but her disdain is constant. If you feel like she hates you, don't worry, she hates herself more. Elowen is just depressed and angry and has no real outlet except herself and others. She likely has no idea what real happiness feels like, but she doesn't want others to feel bad for her --actually, if you express that, she's likely to say something very hurtful to you.

Life is easier to deal with when everyone hates and/or fears you. If it were to be any different, Elowen would have no real idea what to do and might even panic to some extent -- you should fear me what are you doing you can't do this FEAR ME.

Elowen always has a stern expression on her face. She's all sharp edges and intense points. Good luck seeing her without a scowl marking those features, or without a cold fire in her eyes that can make almost anyone squirm in place.

Due to her arrogance, Elowen will occasionally act like she knows things she honestly doesn't or that she's too good to even bother looking things up, which happens often with humans. She can have it be that the humans tell her parts about their culture but since they're being sarcastic she doesn't grasp things fully and sounds like a fool later when she tries to sound knowledgeable, sprouting what they told her.

If there's one thing Elowen hates most of all, it's being made a fool and being laughed at. Laughter hurts because she feels like it's directed cruelly at her identity instead of just at the thing she messed up on. It's a sore subject.

Perfectionist in nearly everything she does, a right out control freak. She doesn't have OCPD, she knows everything isn't going to be perfect, but she expects the best from herself, and to always be in control of herself and have understanding and a handle on her situations and surroundings. In all actuality, she has bad anxiety she'd rather not acknowledge. She's practically always anxious --never feeling right, that constant I-feel-kind-of-sick-but-I'm-not, can never take full pleasure in the things she does.

Panic attacks are rare, but can happens, triggered by people making her feel an absolute fool and losing her hold on situations she feels she should be able to handle, etc. When they happen she tries to regain control and ends up stammering (that seadweller accents coming out, otherwise she's too controlled to slip up) her words. Elowen is destined for a break down at some point during her game session/life (depending on the incarnation) but after she reaches rock bottom she'll come back with a vengeance -- suddenly she just won't care anymore. Say what you want, she doesn't give a fuck but don't be surprised that she's still cold and more ruthless, and maybe even more arrogant, if possible.

After the break down she also would be less caring of controlling the situations around her. She's still mean and cruel and arrogant and bratty, but if the world is going to shit around her, guess what, she won't be triggered. Mind you anxiety is hard to get over: random attacks can still be brought on, but they'd be far less frequent.

Oh, and unless she's close to panic attack stage, she's excellent at her confident facade, appearing ruthless and cold and gives almost nothing away, unless you know her really well.

On the rare chance you do get close to Elowen and she likes you, in a troll kind of way, of course, then she's likely to become protective of you and view you as almost property. Nobody else can harm you because that'd be harming her property, sort of deal. She'd be more open to affection with them and them alone, and more likely to do as they ask because she cares about their opinion. If anyone else were to try this, mind you, she wouldn't care and likely would get annoyed.

Elowen doesn't like to acknowledge the power others hold over her.

Other: If Elowen were to be examined closely or placed into an AU it would be found out that she is actually intersex. Male on the outside and female dominating on the inside, though a split hormone wise, hence why she won't stick to one gender. Uses the name Elowen when she wants to be addressed as female and will use Landan when he wants to be male or when in large groups who knew him before he experimented: he doesn't want to be laughed at. Sticks to the gender he introduced himself as to you, so if you met him as male he'll try and always be male around you and vice versa.

Absolutely hates leaving the sea and having to use her lungs. Always feels a slight burn in her throat when she has to breath air for too long, a sore throat that won't go away. A faint stinging sensation. Thinks living on the land and having warm blood is inferior anyway, since if you can't maintain that body heat you'll die. Stays in water as often as possible, though not sure how she'd react to being in fresh water for too long using her gills, since she's, to put it bluntly, a "salt water fish." She could swim in chlorine but if she were to "breath" chlorine for around 5 days to a full week she'd start to get chlorine poisoning.

Elowen is musically very talented: plop her down in front of a piano and she can make up a musical masterpiece on the spot. It doesn't take her considerably long for her to grasp an instrument, either. Her music and voice are like that of Jess Glynne. A song can be found here.

If Elowen were to be used in a human AU role-play, she would be Asian-French. (Asian parentage, but raised in France.) She'd be born in South Korea and move to France at a young age. If the role-play were to take place in America she would likely be an exchange student or some equivalent.
