Alternian Summer (OPEN)

As the moons begin to rise over the planet Alternia and the day walkers begin their rest, this strikes as the beginning of a new day... Err... Night for the trolls on-planet. Young trolls scamper about the thick forests with their lusii trailing just behind, towns are buzzing with activity... The warm season has begun.

The air is hot and dry, some land-dwelling trolls taking to the beach or the lake to cool off, while others choose to remain in their hives with the AC blasting. Others just decide to continue on with their regular duties such as hunting or caring for their lusus, completely ignoring the new heat.

The last example certainly applied to a busy-bodied fuchsia blood who was hard at work in her hive.



Taktaktak... Taktaktaktaktak..

That was the only sound, the keys on Jaivyn's husktop echoing through the large tower room that was her office. It was sat on only the most luxurious wooden desk, and she herself was sat on only the most luxurious rolling chair. The heiress had been staring at her screen for what felt like hundreds of sweeps, hardly taking time to look outside or just lean back.

Now that the moons were rising, she took her eyes off of the screen, slowly looking up and out her massive window facing towards the land. It was plenty far away from her hive, so she didn't have to have drones really patrolling there. She could see trolls running about on the beach her and her lusus often went to, causing her to smile. It was nice that others were enjoying it just as much as she did when she was younger.

The warm season had just begun, Jaivyn leaning back in her chair slowly. She'd be busy campaigning and whatnot, gathering supports.. She almost ran the planet now, spare a few other fish who needed culling in order to obtain full control. She knew it wouldn't be real power until she took the throne, but it was a start. Thinking about this just made her head pound now, being awake all day and all.. She needed a break.

Watching the trolls on the beach had almost given her an idea.. Perhaps some kind of social gathering would do her some good. Being able to meet some of her subjects would be neat for both parties. Yeah.. That's what she'd do. Probably in the next week or so.



The tapping continued quickly after this thought. Formal invitations would be sent out to each established troll in the area, and even further than that, to low and high blooded trolls everywhere. Hopefully some would actually show.

Cergas's computer gave a notification that he had received a message. He decided to check whom had sent it and his blood ran cold when he read it was from a Fuchsia blooded troll. He sat looking at his screen trying to see whether it was a prank or not, but he grew restless and quickly typed. "Okay. Is this serious? Like are you really a Fuchsia Blooded troll?"

Trikeo groaned and sat up groggily, her head ached terribly  where it had hit the floor. After a few tried she managed to prop herself up on her desk and grab her glasses, putting them on she stared at her husktop screen for a few moments before almost falling to the floor again as her legs turned to jelly.

There on the screen was the impossible, a invitation to a party being hosted by the heiress herself! Her most secret ship may be about to become cannon! But there was so much to do, she needed dresses! Gifts! A haircut and several baths!

"chamelemom! itsh a code fushia!" she says as she dives face first into a pile of torn cloathes, grabbing a armful and sprintig towards her sewing machine.

''Krree'' chamelemom croaks as she waddles over to a dented chest, pulling out several handfuls of broken jewellry.  "tgish ish going to be magical, well dansh and she'll hire me ash her pershinal ashashinatrix and and.." trikeo babbles as she sews, inventing several volumes worth of Terrible slash fiction as she gose. Chamelemom sighs, hoping that trikeo dosent break her own heart too badly...

Out of all the seasons? Huxley loathed summer with a burning passion. Pssssh. It was too hot! Even with ACs working overtime, pumping the hive with refreshing air. His lusus was clacking happily on the porch, enjoying some misty rain whenever he doused it from a spray bottle. He put said bottle down and investigated the tiny potted plant growing a few feet away. Under Hux's best efforts, it'd yet to reveal buds or fruit, which made him wonder if it was defective.

Huxley plucked a few shriveled leaves and grumbled, retreating inside to fetch a popsicle. His boom box overlooked their domain on a polished couter, with its own personal sweater. The troll patted it fondly and twist a nozzle, until classical music filled the respiteblock with soothing tunes. Crunching on the cool treat Hux rested back on a bony elbow. More like m e l t e d.

Outside was his neatly packed shooting range. A few target dummies complete with sown horns stood to attention. And suprised expressions drawn in charcoal for sick amusement. Hux took another chomp and chewed thoughtfully, reminiscing yesterday's practice. The most recent technique included performing a handstand, whilst weilding the bow with your feet and toes. It was proving difficult to master. Especially when all the blood rushed to your head.

His husktop pinged from its charging port on a pile of yarn balls. Hux frowned savagely at it. Trolls rarely messaged him, apart from the odd complaint pertaining shooting at trespassers. It was fun sport, even if mantis dad chittered angrily for days after. He had no quadrents to bug him either. Curiousity tickled, the clean hand not used to hold a sticky popsicle tapped into the login screen.

Out from the stew-pot of green sludge emerged a figure. -Why it was the soft-spoken lad himself, Tetrac! His respite-block was already tended to by his faithful custodian and father-figure of course, allowing his half-awake body to stumble around. Much like any other troll, the ritual of actually waking up was a pain and only a select few were those god awful...euch..morning people. Our hero was luckily not one of them.

His clothing was neatly prepared outside of his door as usual and in what felt like sweeps, he slips it on like a champ. The males lucky beanie was the last piece of the puzzle and like that he was ready...to go out and get his essential nutrients. -This being in the form of a few cans of drinks and a protein bar. Not much else was really available to him to begin with. Alas, this didn't deter him from enjoying what little he had in his mornings.

Tetrac stumbles back into his block and slams into his seat. With a few adjustments and shuffling of body-weight, he sets himself up nicely in the chair.

Ah. With all of his morning routines being done, now he could enjoy surfing the sea of informatio-. A message? Who the heck would be messaging him this early? None of his companions ever get up around this time like he does so it has to be another piece of spam mail. With his mouse clicking the message open, it becomes crystal clear that this was indeed...not a joke. A river of sweat escapes down the side of his face.

He had been stumbling around like an IDIOT for gosh knows how long and inadvertently kept the HEAD HONCHO herself waiting?! That was a good way to meet your demise! Immediately he effectively lunges out of his seat, his mind jumping around on what to bring, what to say, and If he should bring a gift with him! -More importantly, he'll HAVE to bring a certain someone to this. Hopefully they wake up soon.

Bebzel was laying on their back, arms crossed behind their head. Dressed in a crop top and flannel short shorts, they'd taken a day off from worrying about their lusus. Mostly because Bear Daddy had enough mind honey to keep himself occupied and high as fuck, but what works works.
They enjoyed the alternian beaches even though the sand was a bit course in patches and crabs would very eagerly pinch at the toes of moonbathers. Bebzel had a knack for knowing where all of the crabs were, though, and flexed their psionic muscle by guiding all of them away from the beach towel they rested on.

The rhinestone-studded grubphone vibrated and made a noise like a dying cat, and Bebzel jumped about three feet before scrabbling around the sand next to them for it. They pushed it to their ear and triggered the dictate function on the phone. A party hosted by Jaivyn, the Heiress? "Øh, hells to the yes." They sprung up, vertigo hitting like a hammer as they tapped at their phone to ask for a starting time. They planned to be fashionably late and dressed to a tee. Nobody docks this lowblood's swagger.

Sand crunched in a rhythmic pattern as Zadere walked across the beach, swinging his treasure-finder around wildly whenever it gave the slightest sign of something under the sand. He listened to its steady beeping, growing faster as he swept it over a mound of sand. “I’ve found something!” he yelled, dropping to the ground. He began digging with his hands flinging sand over blankets and towels left carelessly on the beach. Luckily, their owners had left when they heard Zadere coming, so nobody was buried in his assault of sand. “Wow, what a pretty… uh… thing!” he exclaimed triumphantly, holding up a broken rusty gear.

After placing his prize in his pocket, he began to trudge back to his hive. It was a long walk to the inner city, but the beach held much more interesting treasure than the city. Not to mention that digging at the beach didn’t cause as many scoldings as digging in his neighbors’ lawns.

The sudden sound of his tablet, which he had in his bag, snapped him out of his thoughts. He reached back and pulled it out, tapping its grubby screen. A message popped up. Odd. He almost never got messages from other people unless they wanted something from him or were telling him to stay off their lawn. He couldn't remember angering anyone recently, so perhaps it was the former.

Upon further inspection, the text was fushia. He blinked, face blank. “What did you do this time?” a snarky voice teased from behind him. Zadere turned quickly, coming face to face with an annoying brat who lived across the street.

“I didn’t do anything!” he protested.

“I bet that message is to say that you’re getting culled!” the boy exclaimed, squealing with pure joy. Zadere just sighed, walking away and entering his small worn hive. He squeezed between stacks of old treasures he had piled up to fill the house. Finally reaching his couch, he sat down and opened his message. His jaw dropped even further than it had when he saw he got a message. He was invited to a party, an actual, legitimate, party. It was even hosted by the heiress herself!

He had no idea how to react. Was it even appropriate for him to attend? Who cares! It would be the most exciting adventure he’d ever go on! He quickly typed up a response saying he would be attending and hit send before his mind caught up and made him second guess himself. He was invited by a highblood, there was no way he was going to go against their wishes.

After the preparations were made for the get-together, he was still stuck with the age old question --. What the heck was he supposed to get for the big lady herself? He couldn't just roll up with nothing after being honored with her appearance to this special party! Plus she INVITED him herself! With nothing else to turn to for guidance, he goes to his grubtop to consult with his comrade!

He was always the type to have his back through thick and thin! -Almost good enough to be true moirails!

It had hardly taken 10 minutes for a response, and after that, Jaivyn's husktop had gone berserk. Her fins folded back against her head as the notifications poured in, squinting at the rapidly blinking screen. She should've almost put her secretary in charge of this, but.. No. She wanted to be the one to send it out. Maybe the one to respond to a few of them, too. She would definitely get a kick out of the reactions, and it seemed harmless enough.. Why not? Just a few wouldn't hurt.

That was an odd text color, but she supposed it did look relatively cool. She hoped the added "haha" didn't sound too creepy or whatever. It was just a joke, after all. She needed to work to stop being an all business type of gal constantly.

Bebzel waited patiently for a response. Depending on the amount of people who she'd invited, Jaivyn might have a lot of people to reply to right now. As it was, they decided to fold up their big beach towel and dist the sand off their clothes. It's irritating how course and rough it was and it just seemed to get everywhere, but they like going to the beaches when they could because alternia isn't a very hospitable planet and going on leisurely expeditions to the seaside isn't something one can do year-round. They started back to the bus stop, too tired from their day of swimming with the fishes to walk all the way home. They did a quick search with their brain and found a few recently deceased or otherwise cognizantly impaired animals to choose from, picking out a napping alley cat who had strayed closer to the beach than most other things. Bebzel couldn't see themself, but they could use the noses and ears and eyes and whiskers of the things around them. The cat got up, still asleep in its head, scampering towards Bebzel, ready to guide them to the bus stop.
Waiting for the bus, their phone vibrated and the automatic text-to-speech voice set for royalty played in their ears.

Bebzel giggled, happy with the answers. They hadn't been to a beach party in a long time, not in the past sweep or so. Again, they really aren't a popular venue outside the parts of the seasonal cycle that aren't blisteringly hot or frigidly cold. They were already picking out an outfit in their head as more trolls gathered for the bus stop, quietly waiting for the bus that would pack them together with even more trolls nobody knew.
Bebzel was the first on the bus when it came.

After a hours frantic sewing (and twenty minuetts in stithing herself from the cealing.) Trikeo stood back and admited her work so far, half little black dress and half samba dancer outfit, it was classy yet skanky. Intresting combo.

Returning to her desk trikeo flopped down in the chair with a contented sigh, gazing at the invitation again imaganing the heiress typing it out in her watery palace, slender fingers dancing beautifuly over the..the..

Is that a chumhandle?..

Trikeo felt herself growing woozy again but managed to hang onto conciousness via a slap to the face. This was what she had dreamed, planned and shipped for! It was all too good to be true.. did she dare deface the heiresses perfect screen with her filthy rusty text?

Mozert gets up rather groggy from the night before, he had had a wild night the night before. After doing his end of spring concert, he had gotten roped into going to a bar with some fans. After that, he doesn't remember much, you just hope that you didn't reveal any of your secrets last night, your fans have to look up to you, and they cant do that if they think you are the softie you really are. as far as they know, you are nothing but a hardcore punk rocker, and you hope last night didn't ruin that.

After some stumbling around, you eventually get up, and suffer through your headache, and after some stumbling around, manage to get through with your morning routine, a hearty breakfast, a good workout, a nice warm shower, and feeding your sad excuse for a lussus.

you then decide to check on fan mail, mostly to see if your reputation has changed over the course of last night, as you do so, you do see a few "embarrassing" pictures of you doing stupid stuff while drunk, and tbh, you never were a very good drunk, but they aren't things that you would mind spreading around on the internet, they almost make you look a bit more manly anyways, soooo...

as you scroll through stuff, you notice a message addressed in fuschia text, you are not sure what to think of it, you have never seen any one higher than a low purple blood at any of your concerts, and that poor chap was lost, but he was kind enough to come back to a few other concerts. anyways, this message is probably not fan mail. best case scenario, they want to talk, and see if they can help you in any way, worst case scenario, being the more likely, something you did last night, got you noticed by this sea dweller, and they now want you culled.

oh, i'ts an invitation to a party hosted by the heiress herself. it is worded quite like you tend to word your "personal" invites to your concerts, that you send out to highly influential trolls that have paid any interest in you at all in the past. chances are she has no idea who you are, but you managed to make some list of hers somewhere, and with an invitation to a party hosted by none less than the heiress herself, it will be a good chance to get acquainted with people in high up places. not to mention the talk you can get going around in your fan bases, and potentially some media coverage. you are determined to take this invitation, and inflate it, so that the focus is on you meeting the heiress, rather than whatever agenda she has in mind.

After having his proper meal to calm his natural urges as a violent creature, he returns to being a nervous wreck! He literally spent what could've been five perigees doing literally nothing! More importantly, he was going to be alone when going to that party and given how dangerous the travel was to the beach...he'd more sooner perish than actually get there. This was no good!

He begrudgingly returns to his seat, the statue practically tearing a hole in the back of his head. Without a partner in crime to help him out, he'd have to look for a new pal to work with. To indicate his serious mode, he captchalogues his prized beanie. Shit was starting to get real. -He's doing this man, he's making this HAPPEN. The male begins trudging through the sea of information in Trollian and by dumb luck he lands in the M.O.N! He had heard of this guy a few times, but...none of it was really about his supposed 'music'.

With a quick background check and tabs opened with song names, he prepares to intitiate...

The Lie of the Century

Yeesh. That was awful. Tetrac even had everything at his disposal for the perfect lie and he still managed to fuck it up past infinity. -Ah well. As long as he had someone to go with to the party and uh...serve as a partner when it comes to the travel! Plus with a celeb like this guy? No-one'll mess with them!

He goes to close the tabs on his computer and...comes across a few revealing photos of the fellas drinking problem...Once he delved deeper into the comments, he can't help but think that some of the hate comments are serving as a warning. The worst part being that this was from last night. Dear god, what has he gotten himself into?--

you find that many trolls as you expected knew about the party and a good portion of them at least know of people who have been invited if not have been invited, and they seem to range from all over the hemospectrum, or at least as much as you have fans there, one catches your eye, a rust blood who offers to be your bodyguard, but is obviously nervous about it, probably wants to go, but needs someone to go with, you are not sure why, as you tend to be a solo man, but you decide to let him tag along.

A part of him feels like he said 'ill see you there' three different times there. Hopefully that doesn't catch any eyes on him. The poor fella puts his mind on how he'll avoid getting sucked into whatever celebrity shenanigans that might come from hanging around this 'King of Punk'. Hux's warmly dressed boombox soon poured out a familiar song, one you couldn't help but hum along softly. If archery didn't take up such a huge chunk of time and devotion, picking up another skill would be easy. Taking one lingering glance at the fuchsia coloured text, he placed it back on the pile of yarn balls and went to scrawl on his calander.

Hmmm... shorts were out of the picture. When was the last time he even visited the beach? Huxley seldom ventured far from his hive, except for hunting giant locusts to keep his lusus fat and happy. He stared at the word 'beach party' on his calander, feeling dread well up his gut.

Jaivyn leaned back, rubbing her eyes as she watched the replies pour in. Two more shouldn't hurt.. Oh, what? One of these was from some kind of-- .. Oh lord. This guy. You remember that you used to be his biggest fan a few sweeps ago, when you weren't actually serious about being an heiress. Some kind of.. Hardcore rock band kiddo with psychic abilities. Perhaps it'd be interesting, letting him perform..

Jaivyn squinted at this message for a long while, before running a hand down her face. Yeah, you can be hemoloyal, go right the fuck ahead, but this was just.. Really overdoing it. Perhaps she'd let Cirice deal with this one.. No. Her little kangaroo didn't deserve punishment like this. She didn't deserve punishment at all, actually! Cirice was loyal and did her job well.. Perhaps she deserved just as much of a break as Jaivyn did.

The fuchsia blood stood up, leaving her husktop open and starting towards the elevator. This'd likely be a very, very awkward conversation..

you stare at your screen in disbelief, the Heiress, not only knows him but a fan of his work? there was no way, and yet, she was not just offering to let you perform, but she would pay you, you wonder if you should do your usual price. It's not like you need the money, but then again, if you only doubled the price, with her wealth, she probably still spends more every week on food, and you could give the money to those who you know who are less lucky than you.

you decide to think about that, but let her know that you will plan on performing, and maybe flatter her a little bit.

The next week on the beach was hectic in preparation for the extravagant party. Tents were set up, vendors setting up under each, selling things from clothing to foodstuffs and everything inbetween. Even though the party had barely started, the area was bustling with activity. In the very middle of the beach was a large stage, the two moons hanging high over it. It was time to begin.

Trolls had started to flood in, including some of the A-listers, but where was Jaivyn? Cirice was nervously pacing behind the stage in her short red dress, wearing the shiniest fuchsia collar she could find. The heiress had told her to meet her there, but not to be afraid of socializing with other trolls.. She was "just as important" as her. As if, she was a lowblood! Cirice shook her head, peering out from behind the metal beams at the passing trolls. This was going to be one hell of a night.

Socializing was technically a direct order from her missing mistress, so she decided to just.. Scoot to the edge of the stage and plop down, pulling out her own pink cellular device and deciding to post and announcement for the event.

As expected, he was coming in late to the early-bird beach goers. The bus that had brought him here was taking weird stops and turns, picking up as many people as they could pack into the vehicle. The combustion-block of the old thing seemed to be puttering out after all the work it had put into taking them there.

In the sea of people, Tetrac shuffled through. His clothing being reequipped for such a beach excursion. His pants being long gone in exchange for some shorts, which...he wore only because it's a beach. He, like other trolls in his caste, genuinely didn't know how to swim. His shirt's sleeves are neatly rolled up and his beanie being long gone. Eventually the wave of people getting onto the beach dissipated, most people going to their respective friend-circles.

Tetrac, however, didn't have one. He wanders around the beach, looking for somewhere to occupy his time and well...look busy until he saw the punk-rocker that promised to hang with him! To think he thought he was the only one invited...

you have spent this last week brushing up on old songs and making a few new ones. preferably they would all be new, but alas, with this being as long of a party as it is, you couldn't ever make that much new material, in only one week. you decided to do some of your classics, and some of your favorites. you had to fix them up to work with only one set of instruments, and you have decided to go with something a bit more traditional this time, a forest of strings.

you are in the middle of setting everything up, when a rust blood runs up to you, at first you assume he wants your autograph.

Understandably once he had actually reached up to the fella, he never realized how weird he really looked. The boldness with coloring his hair like that astounded Tetrac thoroughly! Course, this only made him a better candidate to defend him from the possible dangers that may stir up in the beach-party.

After clearing his throat, he speaks:

Tetrac: [*] -its understandable that you don't know who i am. i'm ct, y'know, from the chat?

He wasen't sure if his lie had been found out yet, but he had to continue with it regardless.

As Cirice sits alone, her mistress.. She has other ideas. Jaivyn had gotten sidetracked by a few A-list visitors, celebrity trolls and whatnot, when one in particular caught her eye in the parking lot. There he was, in all his glory, Mozert Mistro. Shorter than she expected, but then again, everyone was shorter than her. She smiled, making up some sort of excuse to slink away in their direction. He seemed to have someone else with him, and was unloading his stuff.. He'd probably appreciate some help.

She approached them when their backs were turned, a large gentle hand resting on Mozert's shoulder, her shadow looming over them. She looked rather terrifying at first, but her tone and extremely bright smile definitely softened her appearance after a while. Jaivyn was still an heiress, so her expression.. Didn't exactly help.

"Mozert! Welcome, friend! You're pretty hard to miss with that hair of yours, ah? Very bold."
