I actually rather liked that idea quite a bit.

So to gain approval of their peers, the wigglers must 'PICK A GOD AND PRAY!' and hope to high heaven that something vague happens so that they aren't henceforth shunned forever by their own society.

Also, as far as what else needs to be done, I can't imagine its very much. We could probably start tomorrow and be fine, figuring out the rest of it along the way as we happen upon things.
