first of all, DAMMMM DAM, those drawings are sick, i love the last troll to the right, he must be in the session jaja

second of all, you are thinking with so many numbers that at the end, it wont matter.

it oesnt matter how manny characters we are going to have, or what aspeects re we going to give them, we need to creat interesting characters first.

i know what all of you are trying to do, but this is not as needed as you think it is.

((and when i said hope i though it was the oposite of Doom, because well Rage<=>Hope didnt appeard in my mind. But you can not tell me that the idea is not interesting))

He should prove interesting since as I made him he's sort of become artificial. Pretty much a brain in a cyborg body if not a complete endoskeletal android. Of course thats just an idea and he can just have metal feet.

As for Rage to Hope the only other way things could recombine is for Rage to oppose Heart, Hope to oppose Doom and Life to oppose Mind. Maybe that makes more sense, I don't know.

Anyway lets just compile things we think should fit into this first chapter.

but your story i think it should be backwards. A man who is becoming everytime more machine than a person, losing his trollmanity. and then creating two diferent characters, his robo self, and his Human(Troll) self in the Derse world

I was thinking more a troll equivalent of terminal cancer. Building himself a new body or replacing effected parts of him are the only options. Maybe even a class like Thief of Life just to make it cruel.

I think we should get the basics down.

When is this set? You seem to be settled on Trolls, so, Beforian, Alternian or could it even be the Trolls that came to be after the Protagonists victory and creation of their new world in the canon?

I was thinking that it might be cool to set it in a world where the protagonists have long ago prevailed and now they are the big shots who are in the background, sort of how the Condesce is in the Background for the Trolls in Hivebent.

Anyway even if it that does not fly we should answer the question, do you want any canons in this story at all? Especially with Johns multiversal teleporting abilities now, it is potentially possible for him to emerge in any story.

If you played it so that the cannon characters had passed on, you would be able to feed the audience slow hints as to their whereabouts and eventually fates that the viewers would have to string together.

thats an interesting idea, but besides some random Jhons everyonce in a while, and Gamzee being the Wild card able to do anything an still being credible, i can really see the other characters apear and make a "good impact"

We could have a much older John, maybe even thousands of years old snooping around from time to time in wind form giving the impression of something like a benevolent version of the smoke monster from Lost.

Make it not so obvious that its him and reveal him very slowly as a sort of psychopomp/ guardian angel, and bam! Reveal him near the end in a suitably timely fashion and even the people who saw it coming, from the moment that strange wind started popping up every once in a while back in act 2 will give sagely nods and stroke their chins thoughtfully.

Sorry for the interruption, just some thoughts on the involvement of cannon HS characters. I believe in order for this Fan adventure to stand on it's own two feet it can't have a cannon character affect the narrative in such an impact-ful way. John's presence would need to take a similar form to Andrew Hussies involvement in HS's cannon events, except much more subtle. Like Andrew Hussie himself stated, the moment of realisation would need to be passive and surgical in it's precision. Fulfilling an important background narrative without being too forceful. People won't want it shoved down their throats.

With all due respect I could not disagree more.

Andrew was referring to authorial interference, which is something that people know about, and by and large have limited patience for since it breaks the forth wall in a major way by definition and can result in huge cop outs. John is a living breathing (heh) part of the story that the fans of homestuck know and love , and who we have seen struggle and strive within the story. Including him his not just a nod to continuity but also brings in a lot of the demographic of people who don't have much patience for a story that has absolutely nothing to do with any of the characters that they originally got attached to. Its pretty much the opposite of what Andrew was talking about.

well, in my opinion, if someone is ready a Fan Adventure, they dont usually expect the CANON and the NOCANON to mix.

Im not a big fan of the windy Adult Jhon, i have to admit, but i know what you are trying to do.

and yes, im in the side of the survivor here, IF Jhon was on the adventure, he should be VERY Pasive, and his interferences shouldnt affect To much the story

this thing is the primordial example i can give, i mean, no preparation, no thoughs put into it, and i think its a pretty godamm story, even if it is just started

One possible plot I've thought over in the past is since trolls clearly have access to space travel then wouldn't it be assumed that some would survive the destruction of their planet, A small collection thrust into space. Maybe scanning the debris of the planet they find a Sgrub disk and attempt to load it up on their vessels main computer. Since the Sgrub game is already begun and they're external to it the events of a session could be in some way confined to their ship, their small area of reality becoming a wonderland'esque distortion as the game attempts to keep them from interfering but gives them access to their own session within this warped reality of crossed dimensions and impossible logic.
Just a random thought so we can pick through the idea and see what seems like it could be worth keeping.

I think that is a pretty interesting idea worth considering. The only problem is though, that didn't they show the majority of the troll race being burned to death by the meteorite?

Well the majority of the race did die, really if meteors suddenly descend on a planet then even if you have space travel very few will get out alive. Their ship is most likely going to be junk since no one is going to let a kid have a working one, most likely two or three of the trolls have been working on it trying to get the thing to work again. This also means we can have more characters than the main group, people involved in the beginning but who don't get saved, maybe a ships AI that I for some reason picture as Wheatly.

And more trolls complete with constellations.

True, but the armada was already out in distant space at the time. If we want them to be on the planet when it begins their ship would have to be decommissioned or something.
