Remain Hopeful

In his moment of weakness, Hestus Vasste pretty much shut up on the spot, completely ignoring what was going on around him. He was thankful that the group began moving. The steam subsided from his blades, and he resumed his normal composure.

He unleashed his blades, and brought them into a combat composure as an explosion went off behind him. Some maniac was chucking explosives. He quickly catches up with the rest of the group, and while the rest of the 'team' began to organize battle strategies, it would seem that the red blood felt obligated in some manner to apologize for putting the mute one on the spot.

"Hey, Patat| Right? I Wou|d |ik-e To Apo|ogize For Putting You On The Spot |ik-e That. I Was Sort Of Freak-ing Out, So Thank-s For Being A Good Sport About It. |et's Get Mo\v/ing Now, Okay?" Hopefully, he made a nice impression.

Figure out what to do

Since the whole leader debacle he started ended up inconclusive, -or maybe there was one and he missed it entirely - he decided to walk up to the only one that really seemed to be calling the shots, which appeared to be a tie between Orfeus and Taston. Or at least, they appeared to be the only combat worthy and level headed people calling the shots... there were plenty of shots being called all around.

Melori: Stay out of the way

You are now hanging out near the back of the group, moving at a decent pace. The team has a leader now and is moving on as a group, which totally satisfied your initial want for some sort of a plan. With that done and over with, you don't feel like putting yourself in a position to mess up again so quickly, so the back is the best place for you right now. Heck even your weapon barely qualifies as that compared to the awesome tools of those around you, so why would you ever dream of sticking up front. If it ever comes time for you to fight you could always try to stab them a bit with your scissors or tie them up with the abundant rope you have stored away, but even thinking about it makes it seem so unimpressive. Just like you currently feel. Yup, you are more than content to just sorta stay out of the way not making a peep. With any luck if you keep it up long enough maybe they will even forget your blunder. You doubt it, but a troll can dream.

Pack of Mysterious Trolls: STRIFE!

You are once again very mysterious hooded, masked, trolls. All 13 of you leap down from a cliff, all aimed at someone different members of the group, with weapons like Maces, Swords, Hooks, and One of you even has a chainsaw.

Orfeus: Fire a Flurry of Fury

That was a dumb little rhyme there. But anyway, you quickly unleash a load of arrows in the direction of each mysterious villain. Most of them dodge, but you are able to take out one of them. You will worry about reaping spoils later. Most of these enemies wouldn't expect a SEA DWELLER like yourself to be against them.

Donwik: Protect The Weak.

As a STRONG member of the group, you quickly feel the need to defend a weaker member. The closest member of the group to you that may not be able to fight well is the BIRD GIRL with the massive hair. "M3lori, stay b3hind m3!" You say, equipping your TWIN TOMAHAWKS.

Oh hell yes. its about time you get to fight. You haven't really used this weird golden mace which you're pretty sure you stole it from some random highblood a few months ago. You have a tendency to steal anything gold. Gog, you love gold. You also happen to love fighting. You raise your chain mace, swinging it in a circle above your head and grinning a little.

Delorn, Attack Chainsaw fellow:

Yeah Yeah, but first you put the madman on the ground and tell him to wait. Then, you run as fast as you can, fists raised, towards the chainsaw. You know your armor is able to handle the average Alternian chainsaw, you've tested it many times. Only things you have to worry about is extremely heavy blunt force and extreme temperatures. Also cantaloupe... its the only thing that can mess up your wiring... you don't know why. Also... Why are you going on about this odd train of thought while in battle?

Punch:

Yeah, you punch the masked assailant where you presume their schnoz is.

Thrisi: Hold Action

Yeah, you think these guys probably have it covered. You keep your weapons at the ready just in case an assailant makes it your way, but otherwise you'll probably leave the majority of the fighting to the stronger and/or more well equipped trolls.

Taston: Defend

You stick true to your word, staying close to the highblood with your short blade raised in a defensive stance. You see that everyone is combat ready, wishing that you had been more prepared to fight these ruffians. You make mental note to talk to Thrisi about some combat ideas that you have had for the group, but for now a spontaneous test of skill was needed. You spot one of the assailants approach you and Orfeus directly, sure that the noble blood would be busy aiming his arrows at another potential threat. You decide you can take this one for now.

Make quick observation

You look around the group to see exactly what everyone was doing, making sure to remember exactly how they each dealt with their own enemies while you had the opportunity. For now though to keep your eyes focused on the one in front of you, waiting for them to strike.

Donwik: Strike

While keeping the Bird Girl behind you, you sprint forward at high speeds toward one of the assailants. You jump up into the air, and swing your tomahawk down onto the head of one, splitting it in two, and instantly killing the enemy. You turn around to make sure the one you were protecting is okay.

Donwik: Check on M3lori

Why do you insist on protecting her? You Believe that it's due to the absence of your MOIRAIL. You feel the need to protect SOMEONE. And Melori seems to be the one to take the role. She doesn't seem to be objecting it. You go back to keep her in cover.

You calmly watched as an assailant charge at her person, with the subtlist of chuckles being head under neath the mask as it changed to a fierce war mask in a flash. In the same lightning fast motion you had donned this new mask, you had thrown a chained hook off to a near by tree and sent yourself flying, dodging the massive hammer wielding Troll with little problem.

You swung around the tree, using all of you momentum to aim yourself perfectly. Then, with a quick motion of giving the chain some slack then pulling, the hook came off the branch it had lodged into. Then, with the newly increased length of your chain hook, you threw the other end to hook into the enemy Troll's neck, so you may have a leverage point to overpower the Troll.

Erisdi: Dispatch of aggressor

In another fit of rage, you pound the fourth attacker attacker in the stomach with your mace. That motherfucker slashed you a number of times at your back. It seems whenever you get angry, you just get so....so... UGH!!! Holding him by the neck, you ram your mace into his face several times until its simply hideous to look at.

Gather yourself

Fuck, you went a little too far. You really hate when you freak out like that. Now your clothes are all dirty... and you made a bee pun. Arghh. Also you probably look like a maniac covered in this suckers blood. You decide to take off your jacket and just carry it around. At least your shirts not covered in blood. Oh hey you almost forgot you were wearing all this golden jewelry. Actually you think you stole this from one of the others when they were sleeping... better hide the gold in the jacket before they see.

Examine injuries

That's going to leave a mark. Still you've had much worse. From the look of it, it might leave three to four scars. Depending on whether the middle one is blood or another slash mark. Damn, you really hate this stupid rage of yours...

Wait stop sitting around you've only got four. Keep on taking down these losers!

You decide to get out of the toxic situation bombs tend to not be a good option in close fire so you take your legs and run asking the person with the item to hand it to you quickly then wait for a reply by them either way your gonna run like a maniac.

Melori: Prepare for Battle

The sudden strife throws you by surprise. You had hoped that there would at least be a small window of time for smooth sailing, but alas here you are. You grip your scissors cringing. This could be the end of you if you are not carful.

Melori: DUCK!!!

Donwik’s call snaps you into action. You are not in any position to deny the free help, so sticking close, you watch as the higher blooded troll gets to work on the assaulters.

While trolls from both sides are battling it out all around, you are careful to avoid getting hit by any flying weapons or body parts. An unknown, unarmed troll stumbles down right by you, falling over. Seems they got disarmed in the melee.

This gives you an idea.

Melori: Make Yourself Useful

Rather than digging you scissors into the enemy's neck, you feel this is a task better suited for your other weapon. Pulling out your rope, you put your crafting skills to the test. You wrap up the fallen foe, knotting up the sturdy rope every which way until you are certain they are not going anywhere without your consent. When this is over you guys can pressure this ambusher for details on the other dangers ahead.

When Donwik turns to check on you, you call out, “i'm here!!!”

You return to the one which you are protecting, and see she has wrapped up an unarmed foe. You nod in approval of her skills and give a quick thumbs up before turning back to the fight.

Orfeus: LET'S END THIS

You fire an arrow straight into the eye of the final target, instantly ending his life. He is the final attacker, minus the one that Melori has tied up, but you don't know that yet."Hey, that's all of them!" You face your crew victoriously.

Mysterious Stranger: Be Disappointed

Wow. That was embarrassing. You actually thought that that crew was better than that. But they just got completely destroyed. Of course, you know that a bunch of teenagers can't stand a chance against you. You step out of the darkness, revealing you as a whole.

MYSTERIOUS STRANGER: INTRODUCTION

First, let's start with your name. You step out of the darkness and reveal your entirety. Your name is THE GATHERER. You are an ADULT troll, of about 20 Sweeps. Your appearance consists of a long trench coat that reaches your feet, and you wear combat boots. Your horns are simple, going straight up at a curve, and they are tall. Much like the young bowman down there in the group, you are a VIOLET BLOOD, and you have fins on the side of your face. On both hips, is a holster for a SCIMITAR. You dual wield them because you're a badass. But on your back, you have a high powered sniper rifle, but you won't use that just yet...

Ok, might as well, could need a prisoner, besides, you're not a huge fan of killing unnecessarily. You drag the masked troll over to the rest of the group and throw them next to the other prisoner. "Two Is Better Than One, There Is A way To Confirm Info With Two. Also, I Have A plan To Milk Them Of All Of The Info They've Got." His helmet's eyes glow an erie red as he revs the chainsaw stolen from his capture.

You approach the unmasked assailant, and roll up your sleeves, cracking your knuckles. "Mayb3 w3 won't n33d th3 chainsaw."

You only wish you could have implemented your overly complex plan involving the chainsaw, two dead bodies, enough rope to tie up four people, and four cloth bags. Oh well, you are on a mission, better to do it a faster way. OH SHIT YOU FORGOT ABOUT THE WIZARD.

Melori: Return the Gesture

Donwik's sign of approval helps you feel much better about your contribution to the fight, small as it might have been. You return the sign and with a confident 'i got this' smile let him return to the fray.

Melori: Cut to the Point

Once the battle is over and the prisoners are rounded up you let Donwik take charge of the questioning. Having never done this, you are not completely sure if you even wanna see what happens next. But these trolls came after you guys with the sole purpose of culling you right here. That sort of intent sort of makes whatever might happen next just a little bit easier to swallow.

"chainsaws won't be necessary" you tell Donwik confidently, "i have faith that you've got this"

"but if you want some help just remember i've my own way of cutting through to the truth" You hold up the scissors, spinning them on your finger, "it might take awhile but owl do my best to snip out the lies."

You REALLY HOPE it does not come down to that and that the threat alone will be all you need.

Thrisi: Check over the party

Looks like everyone did a pretty good job during the fight, now you've got two captured trolls and you're pretty sure the others won't have much trouble getting information out of them. A few of your group seem up to the task. You really don't approve of torture, but it's a violent world and sometimes it's just down to you or them. You look away and try to focus on something else.

Wipe the blood off

You kneel down next to the troll you killed, taking his shirt in your grip and using it to rub off the blood on your short blade. You look back at the your group who now seem to be pre occupied interrogating the prisoners left alive after that ordeal. You decide to leave the dirty work to them, instead looking towards the strew of dead bodies about. You stand up, rubbing the back of your head slightly before looking towards the now leader of your group.

Converse with Thrisi

"Jade &lood, should we scavenge supplies from the corpses a&out? They may have food, equipment or if we are lucky: a map of the area."

You have not forgotten your note to talk to her about the possibility of perhaps organising the team's future strifes with specific roles, now that you have both seen what they all can do. You decide to leave that until after you are done with the interrogation.

You grab the troll that was not tied up by Melori, by the collar of his shirt with one hand, and pull your other one back in a fist. "Who ar3 you!" You hit him in the face once. "That's about 30 p3rc3nt! T3ll m3 what you know! Who're you working for?!" You pull your fist back again. The mysterious purple blooded troll cringes slightly.

GATHERER: Not on MY WATCH

You don't think so. Nobody is interrogating anyone here. Not if you have anything to say about it. And you do. You and your High Powered Sniper Rifle. Your shot is lined up jusssssst perfect enough. You fire a shot so accurate that it goes through the skull of the troll being interrogated, GRAZING the hand of the Cerulean blood punching him, and killing the other troll that was tied up.

Donwik: WTF?!

You all of a sudden hear a loud bang, and the troll you were interrogating, as well as the other captive, are now dead! More importantly, your hand just got shot, and your hand is bleeding ALL OVER THE PLACE! "WHAT TH3 H3LL?"

You equip your trusty shield and dash in front of Donwik, providing him cover. Ripping off one of your gauntlets, you slide it onto his bleeding hand and fix it to his size. You are PISSED. Even if it was a woman who shot him you might punch her... possibly. Pressing a touchpad on the glove stuck a needle into Donwik's hand, injecting him with something that practically erased the pain. "That Was A Concentrated Version Of Sopor, For About A Day You Wont Be Able To Feel Pain The Same Way In Your Hand. You Will Know It Hurts But You Wont Care. Be Careful With The Gauntlet." Then yells to the group "Everyone Get Behind Cover! And If Anyone Gets A Chance, Prepare Medical Equipment!"

The bang makes you jump bad. Any sort of tough act you were trying to pull is instantly gone when you notice you are spattered with blood. Blue blood. You panic just long enough for you to remember that it is nowhere near your own caste color. You look around frantically for the source. The troll you had under detain next to you is bleeding bad. Whatever caused the bang looks like it found a new home straight in the center of the tied up troll's neck. Needless to say, they are looking pretty dang dead. Delorn's screaming makes you scramble to follow his direction. In the chaos, you find shelter behind a large dead tree. You can't really see what all is going on from behind here, but you remember who must have been standing in front of the path of the bullet and freak, "DONWIK!!!" you call out, "are you okay???"
