'Thanks. See you later!' she took her way where she suspected the Major's office. This location she remembered somehow.
When she arrived, she knocked on the door and waited for the officer's reply.

The door opens to reveal the Major in his full officer's uniform.
"What is it kid? You need something from me?"

'I'd like to ask about orders, because Tehja mentioned that others received them, and I wondered if mines are lost.'

"Kid, I hand out orders six at the morning while breakfast is at five. Seems you were not oriented by any higher officer. Alright then, but this is your first offence. You are to go down to the engine room and get some techniques and all that from our resident engineer. He's been part of this slider since the day it was made so try and adapt some things he teach into your designs."

’Understood. I’ll be on my way, then.’ Cara saluted and left the office.
She remembered seeing the engineering on her way from the gunnery so she headed back. She entered with a bit of uncertainty.
‘Greetings! I’m Senior Engineer Cara Williams, I’m supposed to help out here and learn crawlers’ design.’

"You the Senior Engineer I'm apprenticing? Fine pleasure to meet you Miss Cara. My name is Aradish and I've been Master Engineer of this sandslider since the First World Conflict. There's a ton I could teach right now and I assume you know the basics, but let's start with efficiency and coal burners."

'Right, Sir! And the pleasure is mine.' Cara said with a happy smile, and stepped further into the room. It wasn't as light as the rooms, but there wasn't complete darkness neither, it lingered near to the walls. She saw tubes on the wall and heard the purring of engines. 'Also, I'm just Cara.'
