You go to the tall thing with the wheel. It seems to tight to turn, so you whack it with a sledgehammer that you happen to have lying around instead. It works—magically—and a hot pink cylinder that makes you feel like clawing your eyes out plops out. You see the flashy ball that you freaked out about before, and instead throw the nearest thing into it to make it stop following you. That thing is a...

Before you can stop it, the orb morphs and then flops down onto the floor of your respiteblock. It's a sickly green and waves its tentacles around. You remember seeing Lalnia put something else into it, but you're too lazy right now. Besides the timer on that thing is really edgy.

You do the thingy with the dowel, and it carves another thingy. you place that onto the Alchemiter (although you have no idea what it's called) and it makes a...

OA: There's something called a Mobius Reacharound. I think this means that we all have to connect to each other as servers and clients.
OA: Lalnia is Orcina's client. I connected next. Now Orcina's my client. And so on and so forth.
OA: And there are these three machines that the server player can deploy. Messing around with them gets this kernelsprite, which you throw stuff in.
OA: That's called prototyping, right?
OA: And then Lalnia will have to get an entry item. Which she'll have to... do something to. To get in. The game thing? It's pretty unclear.
OA: Sooner or later something bad will happen if we don't get anyone "in." But I don't know what this is! It's worrying.
OA: I rather think that you should ask Orcina!
OA: Judging from what I can see, she's making progress.
OA: And if you don't mind, it appears highly advisable to screw around with the alchemiter, if you have time.
